A great advance sale program, fair management, sunshine and a fully stocked entertainment line-up contributed to the second best year ever at the Biloxi Crawfish Festival.
The Mississippi Coast Coliseum and North American Midway Entertainment gave away over $5000 in cash and prizes during the Easter Egg Hunt, which drew over 1500 children. Another main highlight was the Crawfish cook-off, in which dozens of teams competed for cash and prizes. Headliner entertainment included Easton Corbin, Jamey Johnson, Justin Moore and Eric Church. North American Midway hosted six pay-one-price promotions during the festival. North American Midway and the Mississippi Coast Coliseum are extending their partnership through 2014.
The Annual Thibodaux Fireman’s Fair is a family tradition and an event which helps raise monies for the Thibodaux Fire Departments day-to-day operations. This year’s event was celebrated with record breaking support from the community. North American Midway Entertainment was the Presenting Sponsor for theinaugural U.S. Navy SEAL Tribute Gala held on April 9, 2011 at the 5-star Poinsett Club in Greenville, SC.
230 patriots were in attendance to show their support for our naval special warfare community. Notable guests included keynote speaker Lt. Col. Oliver North, Medal of Honor recipients Sammy Davis, Michael Thornton, and Tommy Norris; as well as Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, S.C. US Senator Jim DeMint, S.C. US Congressman Trey Gowdy and Greenville S.C. Mayor Knox White.
Guests enjoyed a private cocktail reception, four course seated dinner with white glove service, and a spectacular silent and live auction. A memorable and touching Tribute Presentation took place over dinner with the SC Highway Patrol Honor Guard presenting the colors, Miss SC 2005 Erika Grace Powell singing the National Anthem, inspiring and motivational speakers and audio and video presentations.

North American Midway Entertainment supports The Navy SEAL Foundation. In 2011, North American Midway hosted the Inaugural U.S. Navy SEAL Tribute Gala with an exclusive group of patriots to celebrate the U.S. Navy SEALs and to pay tribute to these men who operate at the tip of the spear and at the top of their game.
The Navy SEAL Foundation provides support for the U.S. Navy SEALs, the Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, and families of Naval Special Warfare through Health and Welfare programs providing tragedy assistance for families when a loved one is killed in combat or training, assistance to active duty personnel wounded in combat, and family events to support the families and commands within the Naval Special Warfare community for active duty personnel and their families; and History and Heritage perpetuating the rich history and tradition of this unique breed of warrior by funding monuments and memorials, as well as co-publishing 'The Blast', a quarterly journal of Naval Special Warfare highlighting past and present commandos.

Alligator on a stick? Check! Chocolate covered bacon? Got it! Pizza in a cone? You bet! Well, if that doesn’t tempt your palate, the Ethnic Village can and did! Each year, the Illinois State Fair features different countries from around the world and is a definite must eat featuring Romanian, Jamaican, Indian and many others. And along with the great food, they had some great entertainment as well. The Colgate Country Showdown competition took place there for a chance to be the next big country star and a chance for $100,000 – wow!
Battle of the Bands! More talent erupted in the form of the biggest teen band competition in Illinois with over 120 bands competing to win the event. All finalists played at The Shed and a new Champion was crowned on the 21st. MTV’s MADE was at the Fair for casting calls for the show this season and Radio Disney broadcast live from the Fair, as well.
Unfortunately, due to heavy rains and lightning, both Friday night concerts had to be cancelled; Lady Antebellum and Cheap Trick, but fairgoers still...

The Tennessee State Fair closed its final year at the Tennessee Fairgrounds with record- breaking numbers and perfect fair weather. Over 61,000 people attended the Fair on the last Saturday setting a single-night record for the fair’s 155-year history. Attendance overall was up 18% from 2008 and 19% over last year. Most of the fairgoers were a bit disappointed that this was going to be last year at the fairgrounds and signed a petition to keep the Fair alive along with its traditions.
This year, the Fair set atop the hill at the Fairgrounds with all the rides, foods, activities and shows within easy walking distance of each other making it “a lot more personal”, said Ronnie Netterfield of Netterfield Foods who was very pleased with the overall outcome of this year’s Fair.
The Fair was full of fun contests such as the Ice Cream Eating, Soccer Juggling, Hula Hoop, Egg Toss, Pedometer Challenge and more. The annual Karaoke Showdown was a must see as well. Third place finisher and winner of $150 was one of our very own, Mega Drop ride operator, Jeff...
